I had two young kids, a family.\u00a0 The thing about darkness is that points of light stand out.\u00a0 Marie, my case nurse, advised that I get a copy of \u201cPrescription for Nutritional Healing\u201d and be proactive.\u00a0 Marie was that point of light.\u00a0 I learned by word of mouth that there was a MS support group that met locally. I was able to take a break from work to attend.\u00a0 The first time I walked in, the feeling of community was palpable.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t need to explain, everyone there knew and understood.\u00a0 The darkness brightened. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I hope to offer here is what I experienced, while riding that learning curve.&nbsp; It reached and reaches farther than I could have imagined.&nbsp; I am not a MD and this is to my advantage.&nbsp; Having lived with MS, every moment, I can listen to my body and feel the response to what I eat, to what I supplement and to what I endure.&nbsp; Research gave me some background, yet pointed in various directions. None the less, my body guides the way.&nbsp; What I offer is my journey.&nbsp; A journey that continues and, I sincerely hope, is inspiration to my fellow MSers and to the caregiver and research communities.
